Studying in Alberta

International students

Robin College offers career training in business and health care at campuses in Alberta. If you are applying from outside Canada, our admissions team can help you at every step of the process.

Robin College is a designated learning institution. Our DLI number is O285681840312, for all three campuses.

Before you apply

  1. Talk to admissions. All of our programs are open to international students, but spaces are limited. Ask admissions when you could start. Email admissions@robincollege.ca, call +1 (587) 521-4800 or send an enquiry.
  2. Check the entry requirements. Each program lists its admission routes, including its English language requirement. Requirements by program → Accepted English tests →
  3. Apply to the college. If you are accepted, you sign the standard Alberta student enrolment contract. How to apply →
  4. Get your Provincial Attestation Letter (PAL). Most international students need a PAL to apply for a study permit. After you are accepted, Robin College applies to the Government of Alberta for your PAL. The Government of Alberta decides how many PAL spaces each college receives. Once your PAL is issued, we send it to you for your study permit application.
  5. Apply for your study permit. Study permits are issued by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), not by the college. IRCC sets the rules and makes the decision.

Tuition

International students pay the same tuition as domestic students. Each program's fees are on its program page. Tuition and funding →

Study permits

Most international students need a study permit to study in Canada. IRCC's own pages are the place to check whether you need one, what you need to apply, and which schools are designated learning institutions.
