Trauma-Informed Practitioner

To earn the Trauma-Informed Practitioner Certificate with Robin College, students will create a personal action plan to prevent vicarious trauma, burnout and stress. Students will also explore the impacts of intergenerational trauma for Indigenous peoples and other groups while also identifying key components of a therapeutic relationship within professional boundaries.

Total Certificate Price – $1200 (CAD plus GST) – 40 hours

  • Legal Responsibilities
  • Signs of Abuse
Module 2 – Fundamentals of Addiction
  • Properties of Alcohol and Other Drugs
  • The Brain and Addiction
  • Harm Reduction
  • Social Aspects of Addiction
  • Addiction in Canada/Alberta
Module 3 – Professional Boundaries
  • Professional Boundaries
  • Boundary Crossing and Violations
  • Therapeutic Relationships
  • You must complete all the courses listed within a 3-month period to receive your Robin College Certificate
  • These courses are self-paced and you can complete them around your schedule
  • Please check your eligibility for the Canada Job Grant as your employer may be able to assist with tuition

      Due to the career-oriented nature of the proposed program and the accelerated delivery format, we are not able to engage in transfer agreements with other Alberta Public Colleges.
