Why Choose a Career as a Legal Assistant?
Legal assistants are very versatile, and they require a lot of skills to function properly. Organizational, teamwork, writing, technical, and good critical thinking skills are very important for a legal assistant to do a good job. Next time you see an efficient lawyer doing very well, remember that behind him/her, there is also an equally efficient legal assistant.
Legal Assistant Career Opportunities
Excellent employment opportunities exist for graduates of this program. Most graduates begin as legal trainees in lawyers’ offices, while some obtain employment in government offices, legal departments of financial, real estate and other firms.
Due to the career-oriented nature of the proposed program and the accelerated delivery format, we are not able to engage in transfer agreements with other Alberta Public Colleges.
Real-World Training
Legal Assistant students at Robin take part in an 8-week practicum in real law offices. Gain on-the-job experience alongside working legal professionals.
A professional practicum can be a great way to get a feel for your new career and make helpful industry connections before you graduate.
